DANCE STYLES - FLAMENCO
In 2006, Arts in Motion merged with the European based academy of Flamenco - the Alegria Flamenca Dance Company to introduce Mumbai city to the famous Spanish dance form. We offer Alianza Flamenca - long term formal courses in flamenco dancing, with all the main styles, including:
Guajiras - Bonito style - a light hearted Cuban flirtatiousness;
Fandangode Haelva of Phoenician origin is found in all the 3 styles of Spanish dance - classical, flamenco & folk and;
Bulerias - burlesque - playing or making fun, one of the most complicated rhythms to master in Spanish Flamenco.
The first ever batch of flamenco students displayed their art in a glittering performance during AiMF ’07.
